After the Magic's game 4 loss at home to Detroit 90-89, guard Jameer Nelson guaranteed a road victory in game 5 at Detroit. The Pistons are winning the series 3-1 going into game 5 at home on Tuesday. "Game 2 we let it slip out of our hands. We're going to win this game in Detroit.". Seems pretty hard for a team that couldn't even win a home series with a 15 point 3rd quarter lead and against a team whose questionably star player wasn't even playing in game 4. The Magic don't have a chance if they can't get Howard going again. The 22 year old all-star recorded 3 straight 20 point-20 rebound games in the 1st round against Toronto but he scored only 8 points (3-12 from the field) and 12 boards in game 4 on Saturday afternoon.

Ironically, the Magic were in a similar situation in 2003 against the Pistons in the 1st round. Orlando had a 3-1 series lead against Detroit but then the Pistons won 3 straight to advance to the 2nd round of the playoffs. Head Coach of the Pistons Flip Saunders said he is still unsure about whether Billups is ready to play in game 5 against the Magic.

Game 5 tips off on Tuesday night in Detroit at 7 PM Eastern time.

Do you guys think Detroit can close out the series in game 5? Do you think Billups will miss another game? If so, can Hunter and Stuckey pick up the slack again? Have any predictions for the series and/or the next game?

I also read that Rashard Lewis was saying, "We're still the better team. There's nothing they did that let them win the game. We made all the mistakes to lose this."

Sure, the Magic made some mistakes... but if Detroit didn't execute and capitalize on them, the Magic would be up 3-1 or tied at 2-2 with Detroit.

At least Lewis owned up to it. I'll always be a fan of him because he used to be a Sonic...

I also commend the Pistons for capitalizing off of turnovers in the lane because if they didn't, this would be a completely different scenario. I'm really confident about this game 5. I'm really hoping that Detroit can close it out on Tuesday and get some rest before they have to play either Boston or Cleveland.

Billups could miss game 5 but if it's in everyone's best interest then i'm sure there won't be any hesitation in making that decision. I personally think that Detroit wraps it up Tues. no matter what.
