How scary is the AL east gonna be in a few years with the Yankees, Sox, and Rays?

They are, but they won't win more than 85.

Don't sleep on the Jays either. They already have a stellar rotation in place and have some very good hitters in place as well.

I just don't think they have the farm system to sustain it.

Well, Adam Lind is a pretty nice prospect to complete their OF with Wells and Rios. They'll probably lose Burnett after this year, but Casey Janssen will more than fill in when he comes back next year. Travis Snider is probably the next best hitting prospect after Jay Bruce. Curtis Thigpen is one of the better C prospects out there and should be a solid starter for them in the future. Plus, they still have some solid arms down there.

I think the bigger problem for them will be keeping their current pieces in place. If they can do that, then they'll be able to cover up the lack of depth in their minors.

That's more of what I meant, they don't have a particularly strong system to keep up if they can't hold on to their players.

Orioles will hopefully keep some talent as well, and as long as the Yanks and Sox keep their young studs, the division is going to be down right nasty

The O's have some nice position players, but they don't have much pitching.

Actually, the O's have a good group of SP's in their system. While they might lack an ace, I believe Adam Loewen can be that guy. It looks like Daniel Cabrera is finally starting to reach his potential, and they have guys like Jeremy Guthrie, Brian Burres and Garrett Olson already emerging as well.

Still in the minors, they have Troy Patton, Chris Tillman and Radhames Liz who should all become MLB pitchers.

What is alarming is how long it has taken Baltimore to progress pitchers, but they have the arms available to build a very successful rotation in the near future.

I guess, but like you said they don't have anyone who projects to be an ace and I won't trust Cabrera until he puts it all together.
