Here it is...a contest that brings out the best in the sports fan. The first ever RootZoo Decathlon.

10 tests of fandom and sports knowledge held over a 20 day period. Two age groups: 18 and under, and 19 and over.

The winners enshrined as the first ever RootZoo Decathlon champions, with a nice prize sent their way too.

This is a contest that's limited to 6 entrants in each age group. As a result, a lottery will be held to determine our contestants.

A lottery will take place March 27th on random.org through a random drawing that selects 6 entrants in each division. Here's how it'll work. Your RootZoo level will earn you one lottery entry for the level you're at. For example, a rookie's name will be entered once while an Icon's name (level 7) will be entered 7 times, thereby increasing his/her odds of making it. Your name will also receive one additional lottery entry for each medal that you've won on the site.

The lottery will take place on March 27th at 8PM ET and the contest will begin April 1st. To preserve the integrity of the contest and in fairness to those who'd like to participate but won't earn lottery selections, please be serious about completing all 10 challenges and make sure you'll have the time to do so. This is a commitment and you should be aware of this before deciding you'd like to do this. There will be a 10,000 point penalty for those who enter the contest and fail to complete it.
