RootZoo Challenge Official Rules

No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. Open to anyone at least 13 years of age or older at the time of entry

Eligibility: The RootZoo Challenge is open to all legal participants 13 years of age or older as of 2/1/2007 ("Participants"). Eligible minors must obtain their parent's or legal guardian's consent prior to participation. Employees, officers, directors, representatives and agents of RootZoo Inc., ("Sponsor"), the immediate family members (parent, spouse, sibling or child, regardless of where they reside) & those living in the same household of each, whether or not related, are not eligible to participate or win. The RootZoo Challenge is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state, & local laws.

How To Participate: The RootZoo Challenge will remain effective from 2/1/2007 until  11:59:59PM ET on 12/31/2007 ("Promotion Period"): Visit http://www.rootzoo.com/PointSystem.aspx for a complete breakdown of point system and rewards earned at each level.  Sponsor reserves the right to modify specific point values for any website activities and may do so at any time.  Members are responsible for viewing such modifications as they will be posted at http://www.rootzoo.com/PointSystem.aspx immediately following such modifications.  Your participation in the RootZoo Challenge and use of the RootZoo.com website indicates your acceptance of such terms. Sponsor reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, any members violating such provisions and will use its best judgment in doing so.  Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void any & all entries of an entrant who Sponsor believes has attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Sweepstakes. The use of automated or similar devices, including but not limited to entries submitted using any bot, macro, script, or sweepstakes service (or any other devices intended to automate any aspect of entry and the earning of any such points) to enter the RootZoo Challenge is prohibited & entries through such devices are automatically void.

Winner Selection: Winners will be rewarded and announced upon earning certain point levels through their RootZoo.com membership.  Specific point levels and prizes rewarded will be discussed in further detail in the “Prizes” paragraph below.  Winners will be rewarded any time between the site’s launch and the RootZoo Challenge end date of 11:59:59PM ET on 12/31/2007.  Odds of winning will depend on the number of site members, their points earned, and the direct level of involvement of each participating member.  A participant will be eligible for each prize level so long as he/she has earned the point total necessary to be eligible for such prize, and so long as he/she answers a telephone call placed by RootZoo Inc. notifying him/her of his/her potential winning status, all subject to verification of eligibility & the terms of these Official Rules. Messages will be left on answering machines and each applicant will have a period of one week from the time of message to claim his/her prize.  Sponsor will contact all eligible winners via email address provided as well in its efforts to ensure that such winners are reached expediently.  If an individual declines prize via phone or email or fails to establish contact with Sponsor for the purpose of claiming his/her prize, his/her prize opportunity will be forfeited.  In the event of a dispute as to the identity of any entrant, entrant will be deemed, as applicable, the person named on their membership information page and/or or the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to the e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) which is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Proof (to Sponsor's satisfaction) of being the authorized account holder may be required by Sponsor.

Prizes: (250) Level 4 Prizes: RootZoo All-Star t-shirt, size to be specified by Winner upon acceptance of prize and to be mailed to Winner’s address.  (250) Level 5 Prizes:  RootZoo Hall of Fame t-shirt, size to be specified by Winner upon acceptance of prize and to be mailed to Winner’s address; in addition, Level 5 Prize winners will receive a $100 (One Hundred US Dollars) gift certificate via StubHub.com.  Sponsor can make no guarantee as to ticket seat location, events available via StubHub.com website, or prices of tickets purchased with such gift certificate. (50) Level 6 Prizes:  RootZoo Living Legends t-shirt, size to be specified by Winner Upon acceptance of prize and to be mailed to Winner’s address; in addition, Level 6 Prize winners will receive a $100 (One Hundred US Dollars) gift certificate via StubHub.com.  Sponsor can make no guarantee as to ticket seat location, events available via StubHub.com website or prices of tickets purchased with such gift certificate.  Winner will be responsible for any monetary value in excess of $100.00 upon his/her purchase via StubHub.com. (1) Grand Prize: Panasonic TH50PX60U 50-inch Plasma HDTV will be rewarded to the first Level 6 Winner.

All prize details are at Sponsor's sole discretion. Prize summary as mentioned above with ARV includes: (1) Grand Prize: Panasonic TH50PX60U 50-inch Plasma HDTV (ARV=$1999.00US). (50) Level 6 Prizes, RootZoo Living Legends T-Shirt (ARV=$500.00US) and $100 StubHub.com gift certificate (ARV=$5000.00US), (250) Level 5 Prizes, RootZoo Hall of Fame t-shirt (ARV=$2500.00US) and $100 StubHub.com gift certificate (ARV=$25000.00US). (250) Level 4 Prizes: RootZoo All-Star T-Shirt (ARV=$2500.00US). Total ARV of all prizes: $37,500.00US.

Miscellaneous: No transfer, assignment, cash redemption, or substitution of prizes (or portion thereof) except by Sponsor who reserves the right to substitute a prize (or applicable portion thereof) of comparable or greater value (except as otherwise provided above), at its sole discretion. Prizes are awarded "as is" with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor. Federal, provincial, state, & local taxes & all other costs & expenses associated with acceptance & use of a prize not specified herein as being awarded are winners' sole responsibility, including, without limitation, additional ground transportation to events attended with StubHub gift certificate, meals & gratuities at such events, accessories and maintenance associated with plasma television & any applicable income & withholding taxes. If an eligible minor is selected as a winner, prize may be awarded in the name of said minor's parent or legal guardian who will be responsible for fulfilling all requirements imposed on winners set forth herein. Grand Prize winner (if minor, his/her parent or legal guardian) will be required to execute & return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release & (where legal) Publicity Release within two (2) days of receipt of documents. Non-compliance with any of the foregoing or with these Official Rules may result in disqualification & awarding of prize to an alternate winner at Sponsor's sole discretion. If StubHub.com gift certificate prize winner is a minor, he/she must be accompanied to all prize-related activities by his/her parent or legal guardian. If any prize notification letter or prize is returned as undeliverable, winner will be disqualified &, at Sponsor's discretion, an alternate potential winner may be selected. StubHub.com gift certificate prize winners agree to comply with all venue rules & regulations relating to the use of tickets at any game(s) attended with use of such certificate &, in accordance therewith, agree not to act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with any intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at such game. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to: 1.) disqualify any person who tampers with the entry process, the operation of RootZoo.com, or any other component of the RootZoo Challenge, or who is otherwise in violation of these Official Rules & 2.) modify, suspend or terminate the RootZoo Challenge should causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor, including but not limited to war, strikes, terrorist activities, and/or natural disasters, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the RootZoo Challenge &, in the event of termination or suspension, at its discretion, select winners from among eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the date of the event requiring such termination or suspension. By participating, Participants (if minor, his/her parent or legal guardian) agree to be bound by these Official Rules & agree that: 1.) Released Parties & their designees & assigns may use (unless prohibited by law) such entrant's name, voice, city/state of residence, biographical information, photograph, and/or other visual likeness for advertising and/or trade purposes and/or for the purpose of posting his/her name on RootZoo.com and/or for TV or radio broadcasts and/or for any other purpose in any media or format now or hereafter known without further compensation, permission or notification; & 2.) Released Parties, their parents, subsidiaries & affiliated companies, advertising & promotion agencies, & all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives & agents (individually & collectively "Releasees") are released, will have no liability whatsoever for, & shall be held harmless by participants against any liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind (whether due to negligence or otherwise) to person(s), including death, or property, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the prize, or participation in this Sweepstakes including any travel or related activities associated with the foregoing.
