	Wild coach Jacques Lemaire said Thursday that right wing Mark Parrish likely will have to sit out Game 2 against Colorado because of a head injury. Parrish was injured in the second period of the Wild's Game 1 loss on Wednesday night after colliding with Avalanche defenseman Ruslan Salei and hitting the boards. Parrish was taken to a local hospital for tests and was told not to speak to the media on Thursday.

	Ranger missed his third straight game Tuesday with a left shoulder injury. Ranger will undergo additional tests this week after an MRI exam Monday was inconclusive. Despite reports that the injury has ended his season, Ranger thinks his condition is improving. "It feels like it's getting better everyday," he said.

	Smith was scratched from Tuesday night's game against Florida due to a left knee sprain. Smith was hurt in practice Monday, and is listed as day to day. An MRI was negative. "Nothing major, that's the good news," Smith said after the Lightning beat Florida 3-1. "Definitely relieved." Smith rode a stationary bike during the game. Karri Ramo made 34 saves in place of Smith, picking up his sixth win in 19 games.

	Sutton is likely done for the season due to the torn hamstring he suffered in February, Newsday reported. Sutton finishes the season with just eight points in 58 games - his lowest total since the 2000-01 season, when he was with Minnesota, even though he played more games than he had in three of the past five seasons.

	Smyth will be out indefinitely with an upper body injury suffered in the second period of Saturday night's win against the Los Angeles Kings. Smyth was hurt soon after scoring his second goal of the game when Los Angeles defenseman Jack Johnson checked him into a padded partition at the end of the Avalanche bench. He lay motionless on the ice for several minutes but was walking before he was sent to a hospital for a CT scan. He was released from the hospital Saturday night, and will be re-evaluated in the next few days.

	Svatos will be out indefinitely with a knee injury suffered in the second period of Saturday night's win against the Los Angeles Kings. Svatos, who had an assist, hurt his right knee when he collided awkwardly with the boards in the corner of the Kings' zone. he is expected to undergo further examination in the next few days, so monitor the developments.

Stastny is recovering from a groin injury he suffered while trying to return from an appendectomy. Despite a 14-game absence, Stastny remains the team's leading scorer with 49 points, totaling 17 goals and 32 assists in 46 games this season.

At first he was expected to miss a few weeks, but he underwent sports hernia surgery Dec. 28.

The Sharks put Marleau on injured reserve Monday to clear a roster spot for Iggulden, who didn't score in his NHL debut against the New York Islanders.
