	Cribbs suffered a sprained ankle on Monday and is likely out for the remainder of the preseason. X-rays on the high sprain came back negative. Cribbs, the Brown's main return man, racked up 1,545 yards running back kicks and punts last season.

	Anderson has been diagnosed with a mild concussion. It's what we expected when he left Monday's game against the Giants after getting sacked. It's quite possible that he won't see any more preseason action, but expect him to be ready for week one of the season.

	Joseph injured his foot during Sunday night's preseason victory over New England and could be out for the Buccaneers' season opener. The Tampa Tribune and St. Petersburg Times reported the third-year guard, the Bucs' first-round draft pick two seasons ago, underwent surgery for a broken foot. However, there was no confirmation from coach Jon Gruden or the team on nature or severity of the injury. "Joseph has hurt his foot. He's getting X-rays and examinations and all those things at this point in time, but I don't have anything concrete in terms of what the injury is,'' Gruden said.

	Edwards hurt his right leg during practice and walked off the field with a slight limp Tuesday night. Edwards was hurt about 45 minutes into practice during 11-on-11 drills when it appeared he and running back Marshawn Lynch knocked knees during a running play. Edwards went down and lay on the field for about 5 minutes as team trainers examined his right knee. Edwards favored his right leg when he was helped up, and then walked with a slight limp as he was led to the team's locker room.

	Polamalu participated in a full practice for the first time this preseason on Tuesday. Polamalu, who has been selected to the past four Pro Bowls, was placed on the physically unable to perform list on the first day of training camp. He had injured his hamstring before arriving and has only worked out lightly on his own. Polamalu made it through practice at the team's facility Tuesday "looking pretty good," coach Mike Tomlin said. Later, neither Polamalu nor Tomlin would commit to his playing Saturday against Minnesota.

	Hall has ligament damage in his right hand and may have to wear a protective cast for the rest of the preseason. Hall was injured in training camp before the preseason started and initially was uncertain how badly his hand was hurt. He underwent an MRI and X-rays which showed no break, but the Raiders had the veteran cornerback seek a second opinion. "I talked to my doctor and he said I tore some ligaments or something," Hall said as he walked off the practice field Tuesday. "I don't know. We'll see how it goes."

	A day after he returned to the practice field, Hasselbeck is again dealing with a balky back. Hasselbeck left Tuesday morning's practice after about 45 minutes when his back began to tighten up. He returned at the start of the afternoon session to do some stretching with the team, but walked off the field and back into the locker room with the rest of the injured Seahawks. The Pro Bowl quarterback fully participated in a practice Monday for the first time since his back stiffened following Seattle's first preseason game against Minnesota on Aug. 8.

	Berrian has a sore toe on his right foot that has limited him in practice for the past week. The injury kept him out of Saturday's exhibition game at Baltimore. After Tuesday's practice, Berrian said his condition is "a day-to-day thing" and that he's not sure whether he'll play Saturday against Pittsburgh. For a player paid to stretch the defense down the field and catch long passes, an injury that affects running ability is certainly a concern. Though Berrian appeared in all 16 games for the Bears, he had the same problem last season.

	Chargers head coach Norv Turner expects Gates to be ready to play in week one. Gates has been battling a lingering toe injury, but the team seems to be positive in the way it's recovering. If you own Gates, you can breathe a little easier.

	Tennessee waived Miller on Tuesday. Miller took part in Tuesday morning's special teams session before being released. Miller signed with the Titans on April 25 and spent all but the final two practices of training camp with the team. He was their second punter on the roster, helping veteran punter Craig Hentrich.

	The Atlanta Falcons have cut Horn. Horn was a disappointment in 2007, when he caught only 27 passes for 243 yards and one touchdown after signing a four-year, $14.5 million deal. Horn sat out voluntary workouts, did not play in the team's first two preseason games because of a hamstring injury and asked to be traded.

	The New England Patriots released Pollard on Tuesday. The Patriots signed rookie tight end Tyson DeVree, who joins Benjamin Watson, David Thomas and Stephen Spach at that position. Pollard signed with the Patriots on April 23 after being released by Seattle, where he spent one season.

	Horn was granted his release from Atlanta mid-day on Tuesday. After asking to be released at the beginning of training camp, he was finally granted it. Horn is interested in playing for a contender.

	Henry is back with the Cincinnati Bengals, four months after the team dumped him following his fifth arrest since 2005. A team spokesman says Henry signed a contract Tuesday, but terms were not released. Henry will not be available to the team immediately. He has to serve a four-week NFL suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy. Henry, who also was suspended for the first half of last season, has played in 35 games with 11 starts since being drafted from West Virginia in 2005.

	Manning has attended his first practice with the Indianapolis Colts since he had knee surgery just over five weeks ago. Manning accompanied the Colts to their first practice session at the new Lucas Oil Stadium on Tuesday. He wore a team jersey and shorts, with an elastic band around his left knee. He appeared to walk without much problem. Manning had surgery July 14 to remove an infected bursa sac.

	Expect Muhammad to play a significant role in the Panthers passing game this season. With Steve Smith suspended for the first two games and D.J. Hackett fighting a toe injury, Muhammad is pretty much guaranteed a starting role.

	It appears as though Henry will sign with the Bengals. He was released by the Bengals back in April and is suspended for the first four games of the season. He could make an impact once he plays, especially if Chad Johnson's injury is worse than expected.

	The Vikings placed Allen on injured reserve Monday. Allen injured his right wrist in the preseason opener against Seattle and will miss the season. He was signed in the offseason as a free agent from Green Bay to provide depth behind starting tackles Kevin and Pat Williams. Allen's injury leaves the Vikings with veterans Fred Evans and Ellis Wyms and rookies Letroy Guion and Leger Douzable behind both Williams.

	Anderson left Monday night's exhibition game against the New York Giants early in the second quarter with what the team said was a possible concussion. Anderson was hurt was he was sacked by Osi Umenyiora. He walked off the field and went to the locker room for further examination. He was replaced by Brady Quinn.

	Patrick will miss Saturday's game at Oakland because of a high ankle sprain. Patrick hurt his ankle during Saturday's 27-17 win at Kansas City. The second-year player out of Delaware had one catch for 6 yards.
