	Campbell started for the visiting Redskins in their 16-7 loss to defending Super Bowl champion New York on Thursday in the NFL's season opener. Campbell, who missed the final four games last season due to a dislocated knee cap, finished 15-of-27 for 133 yards and a touchdown. It was his first appearance since a Dec. 6 home win over Chicago.

	Randle El caught seven balls for 73 yards on Thursday. Despite having a broken bone in his left hand, Randle El factored into the passing game more than expected. Only twice did he catch more than five passes in a game last year, so this is a promising start to 2008.

	Fletcher was all over the field on Thursday, garnering 12 tackles and five assists. If you own him in an IDP league, you reaped the benefits tonight, as he was one of the few bright spots in a 16-7 Redskins loss to New York.

	In Thursday's season opener in New York, Campbell finished 15-for-27 for 133 yards and one touchdown. He got sacked on his first play from scrimmage and struggled throughout the first half before hitting Santana Moss for a 12 yard score just before halftime. He looked better in the second half, but never got into any sort of rhythm. At least he managed to garner some fantasy points with the passing touchdown.

	Eli completed 19 of 35 pass attempts for 216 yards and one interception on Thursday. He also ran in the only Giants touchdown of the game and was sacked twice. Outside of the interception and a few other plays that should have been interceptions, he looked confident and in control as he picked apart the Redskins defense.

	In Thursday's season opening game, Portis ran the ball 23 times for 84 yards against the Giants. We thought he'd factor into the short passing game more, but he didn't catch a pass and averaged 3.7 YPC.

	Moss caught five passes for 37 yards and a score on Thursday. Washington lost to the Giants, 16-7, but it was good to see Jason Campbell target Moss on several deep balls.

	Cooley was a disappointment on Thursday, catching just one pass for seven yards. Jason Campbell didn't look his way very often and completed just 15 passes on the night. Expect better results against a weaker defense next week, when Washington hosts New Orleans.

	Jacobs finished Thursday's game with 116 rushing yards on 21 carries. He also caught one pass for eight yards. He looked almost unstoppable, finishing with a 5.5 YPC average. The Giants travel to St. Louis in Week 2, so it's easy to expect similar results.

	Burress caught ten passes for 133 yards on Thursday. He picked up right where he left off last season, as Eli Manning's favorite target. His longest play went for 30 yards and he made several acrobatic catches.

	Jacobs crossed the 100-yard threshold in his first game of the 2008 season. Midway through the fourth quarter, he had 17 carries for 104 yards. A touchdown would be nice for fantasy owners, but it's good to see him healthy and running over the opposition.

	Jackson is ready to go for the 2008 season and will not be limited in the Rams opening game at Philadelphia. His 27 day holdout had him playing catchup over the final few weeks of the preseason. He feels fresh and confident, so we'll see what a healthy Jackson can produce.

	Smoot left Thursday's game against the Giants in the third quarter with a hip pointer. He was kneed in the back while making a tackle and headed to the locker room. For the game, he picked off an Eli Manning pass and was a part of eight tackles.

	Smoot picked off an Eli Manning pass in the third quarter on Thursday. Later in the quarter, he left the game rubbing his back after getting kneed in the back and was seen heading back to the locker room. The Redskins are without veteran Shawn Springs, so need Smoot and Carlos Rodgers to step up against the Giants. Until that play, Manning had pretty much had his way with them.

	Manning threw his first interception of 2008 before he threw his first touchdown, as Redskins cornerback Fred Smoot picked off a third quarter pass. Manning had looked great up until that point, completing 13 of 27 pass attempts for 163 yards and rushing for the Giants only touchdown.

	Thomas made his first career catch in the third quarter against the Giants. It was good for five yards, but he ended up short of the first down marker. The rookie out of Michigan will be the team's third receiver, behind Moss and Randle El.

	Portis ripped off a 22-yard run in the third quarter on Thursday. It gave him 13 carries for 59 yards on the evening.

	Taylor ended up starting Thursday's game against the Giants, and garnered one tackle in the first half. His sprained knee doesn't seem to bothering him, but the Giants offense shredded the Washington defense throughout the first two quarters.

	Jacobs ran the ball eleven times for 74 yards in the first half against the Redskins on Thursday. He had several highlight runs in which he practically ran over Washington defenders who stood in his path, including a 24 yard scamper.
