"My improvement from yesterday to today was amazing, but I still haven't been able to sprint full court and that's a concern,"Billups said. "I'm getting better, but I'm not quite ready yet." Detroit replaced Billups in the starting lineup with rookie Rodney Stuckey with veteran Lindsey Hunter backing him up. Billups was hurt early in Game 3 and did not play the following game, which Detroit won to take a 3-1 lead in the series.

He was the only first-year player to lead his team in five categories - points, blocks, steals, free throws made and free throw percentage. Durant blocked more shots than any other guard in the league (75).

Turiaf came down hard with his left arm and Price went straight down and banged his head on the court. Price leaped straight up as his teammates swarmed the officials and pushed for the flagrant call. Utah coach Jerry Sloan also came off the bench immediately after the play.

	Billups won't play in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Orlando Magic on Saturday. Pistons coach Flip Saunders says Billups wouldn't be effective because of a sore hamstring. The All-Star strained it on Thursday after getting tied up under the basket with an Orlando player. With Billups out, the Pistons are activating guards Lindsey Hunter and Juan Dixon. Rookie Rodney Stuckey was effective in Game 3 and is expected to start in place of Billups, who is third in career playoff scoring for the franchise.

	Fisher started for the Lakers in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals Friday night, exactly one year after his cross-country flight and dramatic entrance in the third quarter of Utah's overtime win over Golden State. He was the last Laker introduced and the steady chorus of boos didn't let up. It was his third game in Utah since asking to be released from his contract last summer to move to a city where his daughter, Tatum, could receive a specific treatment for a cancerous tumor in her eye. The first was in November when Jazz fans surprised him by welcoming him back with boos. Jazz fans dislike the Lakers more than any other team and felt slighted when Fisher ended up with his former team after being released from his contract in Utah.
